Pamela Siekierski, Founder and senior therapist of PTI Pam is a graduate of Dalhousie University School of Physiotherapy and has continued to upgrade her skills since graduating. She has worked for 24 years in Home Care in Ottawa and in 1994 was presented with an employee recognition award by The Ottawa Carleton Health Department for her work with The Fall Prevention Team a joint project with The University of Ottawa. She has studied modalities with AAPT, shoulder and sacro-iliac post graduate courses with Advanced Physical Therapy Education (Bahram Jam) Functional Myofascial Release with Jenings, Muscle EnergyTechniques, Craniosacral Therapy Level I, Palliative Care, Manual Therapy, Chronic Pain Management, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Fit To Return To Play with Carl Petersen, as well as managing and marketing courses. She is a Level III hockey trainer, has done training and injury management for Ashbury College Football and taught fitness for 10 years in Sandy Hill. She opened her first out-patient clinic in 1995 and has evolved her professional goals into PTI, a community based health and fitness centre dedicated to help each individual achieve optimum health. She believes there has never been a greater need to address the importance of movement, posture and core strength in all age groups of our society. |

Dianne Stickley, Dianne has been involved in the field of physiotherapy since 1995. She worked as an assistant in a busy sports medicine and physiotherapy centre while finishing her biology degree prior to her entrance into the bilingual physiotherapy program at the University of Ottawa. Ongoing exposure to a multitude of sports and workplace related injuries has given her a strong base to build on. Since graduation she has specialized in the provision of in-home physiotherapy services for stroke rehabilitation, joint restrictions, joint replacement, post-surgical recovery and pre-operative preparation, chronic pain, degenerative neurological disorders, cardio- respiratory conditions, acupuncture, and continues to do so while working for the PTI. Charlotte Mee, Charlotte is a registered Physiotherapist who has been practicing in Respiratory Care and Rehabilitation since 1996. Her focus is to improve her clients' quality of life through enhanced breathing techniques, airway clearance, and pulmonary rehabilitation. It is possible to achieve a level of comfort with your breathing enabling you to feel in control throughout your everyday activities. Charlotte tailors her treatment options to enable you to achieve effective clearance of your secretions, improved lung expansion, and general respiratory health and fitness. She aims to help each person understand how to help manage their respiratory health to allow maximum quality of life. Whether you are looking for follow up treatment and education after a hospital stay, whether you wish to establish a self management plan for your respiratory condition, or whether you are seeking a regular review of your respiratory well-being, Charlotte can assist you. Prior to joining the PTI Charlotte worked in the UK, Calgary and Ottawa in inpatient hospital care. She worked with surgical, hematology, oncology, intensive care and acute and chronic chest disease patients. These included for example patients with Cystic Fibrosis, Bronchiectasis, COPD, Asthma, and Fibrosing Alveolitis. Her background knowledge and experience covers extensive rehabilitation and airway clearance techniques. She has completed the Alexander Hough Respiratory Disease course, Kolakowski Manual respiratory course, Sheffield Intensive Respiratory Care Course, and Palliative Care Workshops. She is now a COPD educator having successfully completed this course in association with the Canadian Lung Association, and is now studying for the Certified Asthma Educator qualification. |

Jessica completed her BScH in Biology at Queen's University in 2004 and continued on to complete her masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 2007. She is the newest member of the PTI team after recently moving to Ottawa. Jessica is very enthusiastic to develop her manual therapy skills through continued education and practice. She believes strongly in individual hands-on treatment, combined with a personalized exercise program and patient education in order for her patients to maximize their function and allow them to return tow work, sport and play. She loves working with people and has treated patients of all ages and abilities. Jessica has previously taken courses by McKenzie and Bahram jam and plans to continue these and Mulligan-based courses in the next year. She is also looking forward to challenging the Level 1 manual therapy exam in 2008. Jessica's background in ballet and jazz dancing for 15 years has given her great insight into body awareness and movement. Her current personal interest include tennis, swimming, biking and enjoying her new city! |

Julia Low, Julia is a great asset to the clinic and has increased her availability to PTI to four days a week. Her experience as a varsity athlete brings a keen understanding of the training and injuries of the elete athlete. She is teaching at Algonquin College and her knowledge and professionalism are greatly respected by her clients. |

Oleg Volochay, Oleg has clinical experience from 1986 to 1990 in a military hospital and a civilian rehabilitation hospital. He began his practice in 1996 in a private physiotherapy clinic and has continued to upgrade his skills and education. Oleg is a qualified health care professional with a varied educational background and diverse clinical experience. His patient goals are to improve and maintain posture, restore mobility and assist the body to move freely. Through orthopedic assessment, he works to develop a personal and effective treatment plan specific to the needs of each individual in order to assist to rehabilitate and augment physical function and relieve pain. Anna Gaidamasciuc, Following her secondary school education, Anna completed 1 year in computer programming in Moldova. During this time she was also a professional chess player. In 2003, Anna came to Canada and worked hard on her study of English. Anna completed her course in massage therapy in 2006 at CDI College in Ottawa. She has been employed as a registered massage therapist at PTI since her graduation. Anna's interests include cycling, hiking, camping, roller blading and reading. |

George Chiappa, George Chiappa has been in the sports training and fitness industry since 1985. A specialist in Eastern European training principles, he has achieved results with many clients ranging in age from 12 to 92. He has helped people overcome such ailments as fybromyalgia, high blood pressure, fat loss, as well as helped others prepare for competitive sports like football, soccer, rowing, basketball, hockey etc. George uses scientific research to achieve his results, and applies the research to adapt to the needs of each individual. George is also the past provincial director of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has spoken at numerous workshops and conferences in North America, as well written articles for various periodicals. George is in charge of Biosignature Modulation ™ Program at PTI. Biosignature modulation is a novel concept in the field of functional health and exercise science, developed by world-renowned strength coach Charles Poliquin. His theory is that where people store their body fat is an indication of their hormonal profile. Biosignature modulation is the process of testing body fat levels to determine a course of action for fat loss and optimal performance. |

Stuart Maskell, Stuart has studied the work of Joseph Pilates since 2002 and is a certified STOTT Pilates Matwork Instructor. In addtion, he holds a Personal Training Specialist certificate from Can Fit Pro and has just completed training with the Titlest Performance Institute which will make him Ottawa's first certified Golf Fitness Instructor under the Titlest umbrella. combining the Pilates method with traditional sport and body building techniques, he creates unique fitness programs that assist with core strength, posture, speed and strength. Stuart's studio is located within PTI. His private space offers clients an opportunity to relax and focus on their bodies while being led through workouts using tools like the Pilates Reformer, BOSU and Swiss Ball. Stuart is the owner of Firm Fit Personal Training Services. He has been coaching teams and motivating individuals for over 14 years. Stuart also teaches Pilates Matwork Classes for PTI, held in New Edinburgh, on Saturday mornings and Monday nights. Lululemon Athletica has just named Stuart as the Rideau Ambassador for 2008! |

Lidia Szücs, Lidia comes to PTI highly qualified in the Fitness Industry. After graduating from McGill in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, she began her career as a fitness instructor and personal trainer. She has been head trainer at Rideau Tennis club, Foreign Affairs Canada, and the Canadian Medical Association. She has taught fitness classes, implemented and coordinated fitness programs and trained a wide variety of clients with conditions ranging from severe degenerative scoliosis to the elite athlete. Lidia is Can Fit Pro certified and enjoys working at PTI in a client focused setting that allows her to use her education to motivate and retain clients. The highlight of her career has been the 100 pound weight loss combined with a diametric change in a lifestyle and nutrition of one of her star clients. |
